19. Health in body, hearing, & sight
اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِى بَدَنِي
اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِى سَمعِي
اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِى بَصَرِي
لا إلَه إلَّا أَنت

Allāhumma 'aafini fi badani, Allāhumma 'aafini fi sam'i, Allāhumma 'aafini fi basari, la ilaha illa ant.
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لأَبِيهِ يَا أَبَةِ إِنِّي أَسْمَعُكَ تَدْعُو كُلَّ غَدَاةٍ اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ تُعِيدُهَا ثَلاَثًا حِينَ تُصْبِحُ وَثَلاَثًا حِينَ تُمْسِي فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدْعُو بِهِنَّ فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْتَنَّ بِسُنَّتِهِ
Abd al-Rahman Ibn Abi Bakrah narrated that he said to his father: "O my father! I hear you pray every morning: [dua 19] and [dua 20]. You repeat it three times when you wake up in the morning and three times when you reach the evening?" Abu Bakrah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah pray with it and I wish to abide his sunnah."
