1. Isti'adha, Basmala, & Al-Fatihah

أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ السَّمِيعِ العَلِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿١﴾ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿٢﴾ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿٣﴾ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ ﴿٤﴾ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ﴿٥﴾ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴿٦﴾ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ ﴿٧﴾

I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearer, the All-Knower, from the rejected satan.
In the name of Allah, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy! Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy, Master of the Day of Judgement. It is You we worship; it is You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path: the path of those You have blessed, those who incur no anger and who have not gone astray. (Quran, 1:1-7)

2. Alim, Lam, Meem

﴿ بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴾
الم ﴿١﴾ ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿٢﴾ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ ﴿٣﴾ وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ ﴿٤﴾ أُولَـٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ ﴿٥﴾

In the name of Allah, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy! Alif Lam Mim. This is the Scripture in which there is no doubt, containing guidance for those who are mindful of God, who believe in the unseen, keep up the prayer, and give out of what We have provided for them; those who believe in the revelation sent down to you [Muhammad], and in what was sent before you, those who have firm faith in the Hereafter. Such people are following their Lord’s guidance and it is they who will prosper. (Quran, 2:1-5)

3. Ayat al-Kursi

اللَّـهُ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ ﴿٢٥٥﴾ لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللَّـهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىٰ لَا انفِصَامَ لَهَا وَاللَّـهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٢٥٦﴾ اللَّـهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُم مِّنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ أُولَـٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ ﴿٢٥٧﴾

Allah: there is no god but Him, the Ever Living, the Ever Watchful. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. All that is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Him. Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His leave? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, but they do not comprehend any of His knowledge except what He wills. His throne extends over the heavens and the earth; it does not weary Him to preserve them both. He is the Most High, the Tremendous. (Quran, 2:255)

4. Last verses of Surah al-Baqarah - Sufficiency for the believer

لِّلَّـهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِن تُبْدُوا مَا فِي أَنفُسِكُمْ أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ يُحَاسِبْكُم بِهِ اللَّـهُ فَيَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿٢٨٤﴾ آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّـهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ ﴿٢٨٥﴾ لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّـهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ ﴿٢٨٦﴾

Whatever is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Allah and, whether you reveal or conceal your thoughts, Allah will call you to account for them. He will forgive whoever He will and punish whoever He will: He has power over all things. The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, as do the faithful. They all believe in God, His angels, His scriptures, and His messengers. ‘We make no distinction between any of His messengers,’ they say, ‘We hear and obey. Grant us Your forgiveness, our Lord. To You we all return!’ Allah does not burden any soul with more than it can bear: each gains whatever good it has done, and suffers its bad- ‘ Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make mistakes. Lord, do not burden us as You burdened those before us. Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelievers.’ (Quran, 2:284-86)

5. Surah al-Ikhlas

﴿ بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴾
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّـهُ أَحَدٌ ﴿١﴾ اللَّـهُ الصَّمَدُ ﴿٢﴾ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ﴿٣﴾ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ﴿٤﴾

In the name of Allah, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy! Say, ‘He is Allah the One, Allah the Eternal. He begot no one nor was He begotten. No one is comparable to Him.’” (Quran, 111:1-4)

6. Surah al-Falaq

﴿ بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴾
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ﴿١﴾ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ﴿٢﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿٣﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ ﴿٤﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿٥﴾

In the name of Allah, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy! Say [Prophet], ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak against the harm in what He has created, the harm in the night when darkness gathers, the harm in witches when they blow on knots, the harm in the envier when he envies.’ (Quran, 112:1-5)

7. Surah al-Naas

﴿ بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴾
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ﴿١﴾ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ﴿٢﴾ إِلَـهِ النَّاسِ ﴿٣﴾ مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ﴿٤﴾ الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ﴿٥﴾ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ﴿٦﴾

In the name of Allah, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy! Say, ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of people, the King of people, the God of people, against the harm of the slinking whisperer, who whispers into the hearts of people, whether they be jinn or people.’ (Quran, 113:1-6)

8. Sovereignty is Allāh’s

أَمْسَيْـنا وَأَمْسـى المـلكُ لله
وَالحَمدُ لله لا شَرِيكَ لَه
لا إلَهَ إلَّا هُوَ وإِلَيهِ الْمَصِيرُ

Evening has set upon us and sovereignty is all Allāh’s. Praise is due to Allāh alone, He has no partner. There is no god but Him, unto Whom is the return.

9. On the innate nature of Islam

أَمْسَيْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الإسْلاَمِ
وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ الإِخْلاَصِ
وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفاً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ المُشْرِكِينَ

We set in the evening on the innate nature of Islam, on the Word of Sincerity, and on the deen (way of life) of our Prophet Muhammad and on the deen of our forefather Ibraheem, who was a Muslim of true faith and was not an idolater.

10. Blessing, strength, & protection

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَمسيتُ مِنكَ فِي نِعمَةٍ وعَافِيَةٍ وسِتر
فَأَتِمَّ عَلَيَّ نِعمَتَكَ وعَافِيَتَكَ وسِترَكَ فِي الدُنيَا والآَخِرَة

O Allāh! I set in the evening with blessing, strength and protection, all of which You have bestowed upon me. So complete Your blessing, the strength (You have bestowed upon me) and Your protection, in this life and in the Hereafter.

11. All praises and thanks are due to You

اللّهُـمَّ ما أَمسى بي مِـنْ نِعْـمَةٍ أَو بِأَحَـدٍ مِـنْ خَلْـقِك
فَمِـنْكَ وَحْـدَكَ لا شريكَ لَـك
فَلَـكَ الْحَمْـدُ وَلَـكَ الشُّكْـر

O Allāh! Whatever blessing I, or any of Your other creatures, set with, is only from You. You have no partner, so all praises and thanks are due to You.

12. Your glorious presence and Your great sovereignty

يَا رَبي لَكَ الحَمدُ كَمَا يَنبَغِي لِجَلَالِ وَجهِكَ وَعَظِيمِ سُلطَانِك

O My lord! All praise is due to You as is befitting to Your glorious presence and Your great sovereignty.

13. I have accepted Allāh, Islam, and the Prophet

رَضِيتُ بِاللهِ رَبًا
وبِالِإسلَامِ دِينَا
وبِمُحمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ وسَلَّمَ نَبِيَّا ورَسُولَا

I have accepted Allāh as Lord, Islam as a way of life and Muhammad as a Prophet and Messenger (of Allāh).

14. Glory be to Allah as great as the number of His creatures

سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وبِحَمْدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ ومِدَادَ كَلِمَتِهِ

Glory be to Allah and thanks as great as the number of His creatures, the extent of His satisfaction, the weight of His throne, and the ink needed to write down His countless signs.

15. With Whose name nothing can cause harm

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

In the Name of Allāh, with Whose Name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause any harm and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

16. Protection from shirk

اللَّهُمَّ إنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن أَن نُشرِكَ بِكَ شَيئًا نَعلَمُه
ونَستَغفِرُكَ لِما لا نَعلَمُه

O Allāh! We seek Your protection from knowingly associating others with You and we seek Your forgiveness from associating others with You unknowingly.

17. The perfect words of Allāh

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَق

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allāh from the evil of that which He has created.

18. Protection from anxiety, sorrow, helplessness, laziness, & debt

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الهَمِّ والحَزَن
وأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ العَجزِ والكَسَل
وأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الجُبنِ والبُخل
وأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن غَلَبَةِ الدَينِ وقَهرِ الرِجَال

O Allāh! I seek Your protection from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek Your protection from helplessness and laziness, and I seek Your protection from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek Your protection from the burden of debts and the tyranny of men.

19. Health in body, hearing, & sight

اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِى بَدَنِي
اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِى سَمعِي
اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِى بَصَرِي
لا إلَه إلَّا أَنت

O Allāh! Grant health to my body.
O Allāh! Grant health to my hearing.
O Allāh! Grant health to my sight.
None has the right to be worshipped except you.

20. Protection from disbelief, poverty, and punishment of the grave

اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الكُفرِ والفَقر
اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن عَذَابِ القَبر
لا إلَه إلَّا أَنت

O Allāh! I seek Your protection from disbelief and poverty,
I seek Your protection from the punishment of the grave.
None has the right to be worshipped except you.

21. Master dhikr of forgiveness

اللَّهُمَّ أَنتَ ربِّي لا إلَه إلَّا أَنتَ
خَلَقتَنِي وأَنَا عَبدُك
وأَنَا عَلَى عَهدِكَ ووَعدِكَ مَا استَطَعت
أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن شَرِّ مَا صَنَعت
أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعمَتِكَ عَليَّ وأَبُوءُ بِذَنبِي
فَاغفِر لِي
فَإنَّهُ لا يَغفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إلَّا أَنت

O Allāh! You are my Lord, there is no god but You.
You created me and I am your slave,
and I uphold Your pledge and promise as best as I can.
I seek Your protection against the evil that I have committed.
I acknowledge Your blessing upon me and I acknowledge my sin.
So forgive me, for none can forgive sins except You.

22. Forgiveness from Allāh

أَستَغفِرُ اللهَ الَّذِي لا إلَه إلَّا هُوَ الحَيَّ القَيُّومَ وأَتُوبُ إلَيه

I seek forgiveness from Allāh, none has the right to be worshipped except Him, the Living, the Eternal and I repent to Him.

23. Glory and all Praise be to you O Allāh

سُبحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وبِحَمدِك
أَشهَدُ أَن لَا إلَه إلَّا أَنت
أَستَغفِرُكَ وأَتُوبُ إلَيك

Glory and all Praise be to you O Allāh!
I testify that there is no god but You.
I seek Your forgiveness and to You do I repent.

24. Blessings upon Muhammad

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وعَلَى آلِ سيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّد
كَمَا صَلَّيتَ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا إبرَاهِيمَ وعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا إبرَاهِيم
وبَارِك عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّد
كَمَا بَارَكتَ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا إبرَاهِيمَ وعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدنَا إبرَاهِيمَ
فِى العَالَمِينَ إنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيد

O Allāh! Exalt and have mercy on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad as You had mercy on Ibraheem and on the family of Ibraheem. And bless our master Muhammad and the family of our master Muhammad as You blessed our master Ibraheem and the family of our master Ibraheem in this universe. Indeed, You are Gracious, Glorious.

25. Blessings upon our leader Muhammad and his family & followers

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَنَبِيِّكَ وَرَسُولِكَ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ
وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ تَسْلِيمًا
عَدَدَ مَا أَحَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ
وَخَطَّ بِهِ قَلَمُكَ وَأَحْصَاهُ كِتَابُكَ
وَارْضَ اللَّهُمَّ عَنْ سَادَاتِنَا أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَعَلِيٍّ
وَعَنِ الصَّحَابَةِ أَجْمَعِينَ
وَعَنِ التَّابِعِينَ وَتَابِعِيهِمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

O Allah! Bestow your praise upon our leader Muhammad, Your slave and Your messenger—the unlettered Prophet. And bestow Your praise and peace upon his family and his companions, as much as what is encompassed by Your knowledge, written by Your pen and recorded in Your book. Bestow Your favor on the rightly guided caliphs: Abu Bakr and Umar and Uthman and Ali, and upon the Prophet’s companions, their followers and those who follow them with righteousness until the Day of Judgment.

26. Glory be to You O Lord!

سُبحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ العِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُون
وسَلَامٌ عَلَى المُرسَلِين
والحَمدُ للهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِين

Glory be to You O Lord! The Lord of Honor and Power, who is free from what they ascribe to Him.
May peace be upon the Messengers
and all praise is due to Allāh, the Lord and Sustainer of the worlds.

27. Wird Ar-Rabitah (Du'a of Brotherhood)

قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ﴿٢٦﴾ تُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَتَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ ﴿٢٦﴾

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ هَذَا إِقْبَالُ لَيْلِكَ وَإِدْبَارُ نَهَارِكَ وَأَصْوَاتُ دُعَاتِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذِهِ الْقُلُوبَ قَدْ اجْتَمَعَتْ عَلَى مَحَبَّتِكَ
وَالْتَقَتْ عَلَى طَاعَتِكَ
وَتَوَحَّدَتْ عَلَى دَعْوَتِكَ
وَتَعَاهَدَتْ عَلَى نُصْرَةِ شَرِيعَتِكَ
فَوَثِّقْ اللَّهُمَّ رَابِطَتَهَا
وَأَدِمْ وُدَّهَا
وَاهْدِهَا سُبُلَهَا
وَامْلَأْهَا بِنُورِكَ الَّذِي لَا يَخْبُو
وَاشْرَحْ صُدُورَهَا بِفَيْضِ الْإِيمَانِ بِكَ وَجَمِيلِ التَّوَكُّلِ عَلَيْكَ
وَأَحْيِهَا بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ
وَأَمِتْهَا عَلَى الشَّهَادَةِ فِي سَبِيلِكَ
إِنَّكَ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ
اللَّهُمَّ آمِين
وَصَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ

Say: “O Allah. Lord of Power and Rule, You grant power to whom You please, and You take power away from whom You please. You endow with honor whom You please, and You abase whom You please. In Your hand is all good. Verily, You have power over all things. You cause the night to envelop the day, and You cause the day to envelop the night; You bring the Living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living; and You give sustenance to whom You please, without measure.”

O Allah, this is the coming of Your night and the turning away of Your day and the voices of the callers to You, so forgive me.

O Allah, You know that these hearts have come together in loving You, met together in Your obedience, united for Your message, and entered together in a covenant to support Your way. O Allah, strengthen the bonds between these hearts, make permanent the affection between them, guide them to their paths, fill them with Your light that never diminishes, comfort their hearts with the flood of faith in You, and a beautiful trust in You, keep them alive with knowledge of You, and give them their death in martyrdom for You. Truly You are the best protector and the best to give victory. O Allah. Ameen.
